Hello everyone the topic on which I am talking today is not related to health but related to medical science.

You talk of the wondrous things you see,

You talk the sun shines bright:

I feel him warm, but how can he

Or make it day or night

Do you know guys that your eyes can even live after your death? Many of you maybe not knowing the fact that eyes can also be donated after the death of a person and he can light up the world of a blind person.

There are about 35 million people on this earth who are blind and can’t see this beautiful world and about 4.5 million people in the world are blind because of corneal blindness and you can light up one of them world by donating your eyes. The people with corneal blindness can be cured through corneal transplantation.

So if we have got the gift of vision so why not pass this to someone who is not gifted with the vision? What you have to do is just to keep some points in your mind when the eyes have to be donated.

  • Eye donor can be of any age group or sex. People who use spectacles, contact lenses or those operated for cataract, can still donate eyes.
  • People who are diabetic, have hypertension, asthma and those without communicable disease can still donate eyes.
  • Eyes must be removed within 4-6 hours after death. Inform the nearest eye bank immediately.
  • Eye removal is the process of 10-15 minutes. It is a simple process and doesn’t cause any disfigurement.

Note: Person who is infected with or died due to AIDS, Hepatitis B or C, rabies, tetanus, cholera, evaluates and distributes the donated eyes. All eyes donated are evaluated using strict medical standards. Those Donated eyes found unsuitable for transplantation are used for valuable research and medical education. The identity of both donor and recipient remain confidential.

Think it over guys.

one pair of eyes gives vision to Two Corneal Blind People.
